"Which is bullshit!"

Jez nodded slightly. She'd be furious if someone had sealed up Hufflepuff; though it was less likely, being a very unHufflepuff thing to do. The unfairness of it would really, really rankle. She would not be handling it as well as the Ravenclaw was.

"Sorry, it's not that I disagree with you, it's because I agree with your interpretation, but not the situation."

The clarification took Jez by surprise; she raised her eyebrows, a little amused by Guenevere's careful explanation. "I know," she said, mildly. What a terribly Ravenclaw approach to swearing.

"And how are the lower levels looking? Did you run into anything on your way down?"

"No. I was headed there before I came in here."

Hm. If the other Commons were open, then the chance that the perpetrator was a former Ravenclaw increased quite a bit. It would be a while before they'd find out, though. "I think it'll be worse at dungeon level. I'm gonna try to clear the corridors up here before I switch base to Hufflepuff," she volunteered. This was the main entrance area that people would be using; it was wisest to make it safe before proceeding further into the castle.

Looking to Guenevere, she tried to be friendly. Such attempts usually gave observers the impression that she had only ever read about it in books. "So I'll be staying here, too. If you want, you can come with me to Hufflepuff." Helga would have approved of taking in refugees, she thought.
