Looking across to Mkichaa, Jez caught the flash of amusement at the misclassification of her House. It settled her annoyance a little; she could see the funny side, sort of. The Slytherin would have been equally offended at being mistaken for a Hufflepuff, she thought, and Jez would've found that funny, too. Guenevere appeared relieved to be addressing a Hufflepuff; Jez couldn't wholly blame her, given Mkichaa's not-so-warm welcome, but it was a bit of a social blunder to show it. She turned the focus to the traps and contemplated taking notes. She chose not to when the location was revealed; she had no plans to enter the towers for a while yet. Yeesh, she thought, listening carefully; no wonder the witch was a little crispy around the edges.

"Sounds like the school isn't as abandoned as first thought then."

Jez turned her gaze to Mkichaa, thoughtfully. Their minds ran along the same track, it seemed; she nodded again. "Someone wants Ravenclaw Commons to stay off-limits," she said, frowning a little. Why? What was in there? Somebody was trying to keep something under wraps, otherwise why go so far to cut the commons off from the castle? The traps used were violent, too; not dark, perhaps, but certainly closer to the homicidal end of the spectrum than was comfortable. It could be a dark witch or wizard, but they used wards instead of booby traps - and they tended to have more final results.

The Hufflepuff turned back to Guenevere, still frowning. "There are sleeping bags in the corner over there. Gotta be safer here. Mkichaa, have you tried the Slytherin Commons yet?"
