Jungwen watched Shea eat, waiting for a response. She could feel herself getting ready for another round of babble, which she did her best to hold her back. But as the thought became clearer in her own head, she found herself getting more and more excited, and the babble was a potent threat soon. Fortunately, Shea spoke before she could launch into another explanation. Babble, historically, had helped no one.

"A few things. First, I have work. I am working three jobs, so I don't have time. Second, you seem to be asking me to go in and help you murder a bunch of monsters who have been living there for longer than I even attended the school. No. Third, I've been living among the Muggles for a while now. I haven't even touched my wand in about a year and a half. Unless you need a smartphone unlocked, I am of zero use to you."

It took her a second to register the third thing, partly because she was not too clear about what smartphones were, having avoided the Muggle world for the last few years for fear of running into a certain Muggle she was trying very hard not to think about thank you very much, but also because the second thing Shea had said had triggered a whole slew of thoughts in her head.

"Right, the monsters," she said, thinking about it seriously. While she hadn't thought about the monsters so much, she had really not considered what it would mean to save the school with the monsters in it. "Well, I didn't think we needed to eradicate them all collectively - we have no idea how many and what kind, and the Hat tells me not all of them want to eat us. I do intend to not be eaten," she added, kind of firmly. "But I, well." She paised. She hadn't been gotten that far int he planning yet. She had just had an idea that she was sensing sounded pretty harebrained to Shea, and she could see that a bit more clearly now.

"Okay, I don't have a clear plan," she said, picking up the mug and holding it for warmth and familiarity for a few seconds. "I wasn't thinking about killing them all, and you kind of have a point - they've been nesting here for ten years, if not more, and maybe we need a clearer strategy to handle it. Without," she added, raising an eyebrow, "being eaten, of course.

"As for the other stuff," she leaned back. "I don't know why the Hat thinks so, but he does think you're important to this whole thing - to bringing the school back up, from what I can make out. It is salvageable, so much of it. And it would take care of you with or without your three jobs, whatever they are. I think... well, it feels like the school is ready. There's food around, people are coming in... the House Points, the Hat... I mean, why did you come back, if you thought there wasn't anything left here?"
